12 Indian Nationals Deported from US Arrive in Delhi

Editorial

New Delhi:- A group of 12 Indian nationals who were deported from the United States for illegally entering the country arrived in New Delhi today. This marks the fourth batch of deportees sent back to India in recent months as the US continues its crackdown on illegal immigration.

The deported individuals, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, were flown back on a special deportation flight and landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport early this morning. Authorities from the Bureau of Immigration and Delhi Police were present at the airport to process their arrival and verify their identities.

According to sources, these individuals had entered the US illegally through Mexico, seeking better job opportunities. However, they were detained by US immigration authorities after being caught at various border crossings or overstaying their visas. Following legal proceedings, they were deported under the US government’s stricter immigration policies.

Indian authorities are now investigating the role of human trafficking networks that facilitate such illegal migration. “We are working closely with international agencies to identify and dismantle these networks that lure individuals with false promises,” an immigration official stated.

The deportees will undergo questioning by Indian authorities to determine the circumstances of their entry into the US and the agents involved in their travel. Many of them reportedly paid large sums of money to traffickers who arranged their journey through South and Central America before they attempted to enter the US.

The Indian government has urged citizens to avoid illegal routes for migration, warning of the dangers involved, including legal consequences and financial losses. The US has also ramped up border security and deportation efforts, leading to an increase in the number of Indian nationals being sent back in recent months.

This latest deportation highlights the growing concerns over illegal immigration and the urgent need for stronger awareness campaigns to prevent such incidents in the future. Authorities are expected to take further action against agents and middlemen involved in these illegal operations.
