By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Yemmiganur – Andhra Pradesh: CPI(ML) New Democracy District Executive Member M Satyanna has urged the central and state governments to take immediate action to create jobs and employment opportunities for the country’s unemployed youth. Speaking at the Yemmiganur Division Progressive Youth League (PYL) committee election, he criticized the failure of successive governments to fulfill their promises regarding employment.

Government criticized for failing on job promises

Addressing the gathering, M Satyanna, along with IFTU district leader Balaraju and PYL division convener Muneppa, accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing to deliver on his promise of creating two crore jobs annually. They pointed out that 11 years have passed since the promise was made, yet there has been no concrete action.

The leaders also criticized the BJP government for not only failing to generate new employment but also for destroying existing jobs through privatization. They claimed that millions have been affected by the sale of public sector enterprises, leading to job losses across various sectors.

State government urged to implement job creation measures

M Satyanna also took aim at the state government, questioning its delay in implementing the Mega DSC recruitment notification. He accused political leaders of misleading the youth with promises of unemployment allowances that remain unfulfilled.

He demanded that the government issue a Government Order (GO) to establish small-scale industries for unemployed youth without imposing restrictive conditions. Additionally, he called for immediate financial support for these initiatives to promote self-sufficiency.

Focus on preventing migration and boosting local employment

Highlighting the issue of migration in the western part of Kurnool district, Satyanna urged the state government to take steps to curb the trend by setting up public sector enterprises and industries. He emphasized the need for local employment opportunities to prevent youth from being forced to leave their hometowns in search of work.

Progressive Youth League elects new leadership

Following the speeches, the Progressive Youth League (PYL) elected a new committee for the Yemmiganur division. Muneppa was appointed as the convener, Ashok as the co-convener, and Manoj, Swami, Prabhas, Pradeep, Ashok, Anil, and Ramesh were elected as committee members.

The event was attended by IFTU leader Babu and AIKMS leader Nagendra, among others, who expressed their solidarity with the demands for job creation and industrial development in the region.
