Karimnagar – Telangana: Karimnagar witnessed a significant political move as youth leader Gavvala Lakshmi Srikanth filed her nomination for the graduate MLC elections. Calling on voters from Karimnagar, Medak, Adilabad, and Nizamabad, he urged them to support her candidacy for a decisive victory. Lakshmi Srikanth pledged to address unemployment by setting up new industries and providing jobs, countering what he described as the BJP-led industrial decline in the state.
Criticism of BJP’s policies
Lakshmi Srikanth accused the central BJP government of systematically shutting down industries in Telangana over the past 10 to 15 years. She alleged that the privatization of public sector institutions and the lack of job opportunities have forced youth to migrate abroad, leaving them struggling for survival.
Allegations of caste and religious politics
Expressing concern over the rising caste and religious divisions, Lakshmi claimed that such tactics were being used to divert attention from unemployment and economic distress. She emphasized the need for a progressive vision centered on education, employment, and economic growth.

Promise to create new industries and jobs
If elected, Lakshmi promised to establish new industries to generate employment. She urged voters to reject political parties that exploit public sentiment while failing to address real issues.
Support from various organizations
Lakshmi Srikanth’s candidacy has received backing from SC, ST, BC, and minority groups, along with several public associations. These organizations have urged voters to elect a leader who prioritizes employment and economic progress over empty political rhetoric.
Warning against vote-buying tactics
Calling out mainstream political parties, State leader Gavvala Srikanth alleged that they were attempting to manipulate elections by distributing crores of rupees. He asserted that winning candidates from such parties rarely address public concerns and assured that, if elected, Lakshmi would amplify the voices of the people and fight for new employment opportunities.
