GoAP signs Rs 65,000 Cr MoU with Reliance for 500 bio-gas plants

Andhra Pradesh: The Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) has secured a transformative Rs 65,000 crore investment with Reliance Industries for establishing 500 Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plants statewide, marking a major leap towards clean energy and sustainable development. This landmark agreement promises to generate substantial employment and position Andhra Pradesh as a national leader in green energy initiatives.
Reliance’s investment to boost employment and clean energy
With this investment, Reliance Industries aims to create 2.5 lakh job opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, significantly enhancing local livelihoods and supporting green infrastructure. The initiative is part of Reliance’s broader national goal of setting up 2,000 CBG plants, with Andhra Pradesh receiving a dedicated 500 plants over the next three years.
