‘Public frustration grows over forest officials’ inability to track tiger’

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu:Bureau Chief

Rajahmundry – Andhra Pradesh: Concerns are mounting as forest officials in Rajahmundry openly admit their inability to locate the elusive tiger that has been troubling the region. Local residents, and especially Meda Srinivas of the Rashtriya Praja Congress, have voiced strong criticism, suggesting that experienced hunters could have located the tiger faster than the current forest staff.

Call for competency and training

Meda Srinivas expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that the inability of the Rajahmundry forest officials has become a source of public ridicule. “Instead of merely announcing their intent to catch the tiger, these officials should undergo proper training to uphold the reputation of the forest department,” he said.

Financial accountability questioned

Srinivas also raised concerns about the alleged misuse of public funds, claiming that large sums have been squandered under the pretext of tracking the tiger. “People are suffering due to the incompetence of officials and the misuse of funds,” he added, pointing to what he sees as governance failures that are affecting the region’s residents.
