Dhanshristi Organizes Financial Inclusion Programme for JLG Members in Dhanbad
One-day programme focused on savings, banking services, responsible borrowing, credit management, repayment discipline, and financial literacy.
Dhanbad, Area Correspondent: Dhanshristi Bhavishya Nidhi Trust organized a one-day Financial Inclusion Programme for Joint Liability Group (JLG) members in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The programme aimed to improve awareness of formal financial services and promote responsible financial practices among JLG members.
During the programme, participants were provided information about banking services, savings, credit facilities, repayment practices, and responsible borrowing. The importance of maintaining proper financial records and managing credit responsibly was also discussed.
A special session focused on the role and benefits of Joint Liability Groups, highlighting how collective financial participation can help members access formal financial services and strengthen their financial management practices.
The programme also included an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, allowing participants to raise their concerns regarding banking, savings, credit and repayment. Awareness materials were distributed to reinforce the information shared during the programme.
One-time meals, along with tea and snacks, were also provided to the participants.
Through the initiative, Dhanshristi Bhavishya Nidhi Trust aimed to promote financial inclusion, improve financial literacy, encourage regular savings, and support responsible borrowing and repayment practices among JLG members.
