INSIGHT Provides Winter Relief to Orphaned Elderly in Dhanbad

Editorial

Dhanbad, Jharkhand: A humanitarian initiative was carried out in Dhanbad as severe winter conditions continue to affect daily life. With temperatures dropping steadily, orphaned and destitute elderly people face heightened risks during the cold season. In response, , Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT)  stepped forward to provide timely relief.

INSIGHT organized a blanket distribution program for orphaned elderly residents in Dhanbad to help them stay protected during cold winter nights. This year, the city has experienced one of its highest levels of cold in recent times, making the situation especially dangerous for elderly individuals who lack adequate shelter and resources.

The program was led by the organization’s General Secretary, Mrs. Sarita Singh, along with Kalyan Mitra Mr. Sapna Sharma and other members of the team. During the initiative, volunteers reached out at the grassroots level, assessed the living conditions of the elderly, and distributed blankets to those in need.

INSIGHT stated that its objective goes beyond providing material aid. The organization aims to reach sections of society that are often neglected and ensure that basic dignity and care are extended to them. According to the organization, timely support—even if modest—can make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

The initiative not only offered relief from the harsh winter but also reinforced the message that compassion and humanity continue to exist within society. INSIGHT has affirmed its commitment to continue such social and humanitarian efforts in the future.
