Dhanbad, Jharkhand – The Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT) organized a Child Care and Protection Programme on 13 November 2025 in Dhanbad with the objective of promoting child safety, education, and overall well-being. The programme focused on supporting children by providing awareness, guidance, and essential study materials.
In today’s environment, child protection remains a serious concern, especially in communities where children lack access to proper education and awareness about their rights. Recognizing this gap, INSIGHT conducted this initiative to educate children about their safety, rights, and the importance of education in shaping a better future.
During the programme, children were made aware of child protection measures, personal safety, and their basic rights. They were guided on how to respond to unsafe situations, whom to approach for help, and the importance of speaking up against any form of abuse or neglect.
A key highlight of the programme was the distribution of study materials to children, including notebooks, pens, pencils, and basic learning resources. This support aimed to encourage children to continue their education and reduce barriers that often prevent them from studying effectively.
The programme also included interactive sessions, where children were encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and discuss challenges they face in their daily lives. This open interaction helped build confidence among the children and created a supportive environment.
In addition, awareness was provided on hygiene, health, and discipline, helping children adopt positive habits in their daily routines.
The programme was supported by volunteers who played an important role in organizing activities, guiding children, and ensuring smooth execution of the event.
Through this initiative, INSIGHT reaffirmed its commitment to child welfare and protection. The organization continues to work towards creating a safer and more supportive environment for children, ensuring they have access to education, awareness, and opportunities for a better future.
