Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Citizens are raising serious concerns over the lack of response from emergency helplines 104 and 112, which are meant to provide immediate assistance during distress. Rayalaseema Communist Party Executive Member Madagalam Prasad has urged officials to ensure these vital services are made fully functional and responsive.
Helplines failing to serve the people
Speaking to the WAR-TIMES over the phone on Friday, Madagalam Prasad said people in urgent need of help are being left without support as emergency numbers repeatedly go unanswered. “These numbers, which once offered prompt responses for medical aid and police support, are now practically unreachable,” he said.
Frustration mounts over unavailability
Prasad noted that those calling helpline numbers like 104 and 112 are growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of timely response. He stressed that emergency services must be available round-the-clock and authorities should urgently act to restore public confidence in these systems.
