By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Andhra Pradesh: A newly constructed rural veterinary hospital building was inaugurated in Muthalurupadu village of Khajipet mandal in Kadapa district on Thursday by Putta Sudhakar Yadav. The facility, built with financial assistance from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), is expected to significantly improve veterinary healthcare services for farmers and livestock owners in the surrounding villages.
Earlier veterinary facility in dilapidated condition
The veterinary hospital in Muthalurupadu had earlier been functioning under difficult circumstances due to the absence of a proper building. Livestock treatment was being carried out in a temporary room provided by a donor.

Over time, the space became inaccessible as small shops were set up in front of the room, making it difficult for farmers to locate the facility and obtain timely veterinary care for their animals.
New building constructed with NABARD funds
Recognising the need for better infrastructure, senior officials of the Animal Husbandry Department, local residents, and the mandal veterinary staff jointly worked to secure funds from NABARD.
Using these funds, a new rural veterinary hospital building was constructed to ensure improved veterinary services and infrastructure for livestock healthcare in the area.
MLA calls for accessible veterinary services
After inaugurating the facility, MLA Putta Sudhakar Yadav urged veterinary staff to ensure that services are easily accessible to farmers and livestock owners.
He stated that the government is working to strengthen healthcare facilities even in rural areas and assured that steps would be taken to provide veterinary services without any shortage of medicines.
