Alagdiha: On the occasion of Christmas, Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT) organized a relief program for unorganised workers employed at brick kilns in Alagdiha. The initiative focused on supporting women workers who continue to work under challenging conditions with limited resources and low wages.
Brick kiln workers, especially women, often face long working hours, unsafe environments, and minimal social security. During festivals, their hardships usually remain unnoticed. Recognizing this reality, INSIGHT distributed sarees to women workers as a gesture of respect, dignity, and support.
The program was held in the presence of Secretary Subhash Singh, Vijay Jadhav, and other members of the organization. Members of the team interacted with the workers, listened to their concerns, and acknowledged the difficulties they face in their daily lives.
INSIGHT stated that the purpose of the initiative was not merely to distribute materials, but to stand in solidarity with unorganised workers who play a crucial role in society yet remain largely neglected. The organization emphasized that such efforts aim to promote dignity, inclusion, and social responsibility.
The Christmas relief program in Alagdiha reflected the true spirit of the festival by extending care and compassion to hardworking women workers. INSIGHT has reaffirmed its commitment to continue undertaking similar social welfare initiatives for unorganised and marginalized communities in the future.
