RCP demands house plots, ration cards and pensions for all eligible poor

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) State Secretary Ravi Shankar Reddy urged the coalition government to immediately provide house plots, houses, ration cards and pensions to all eligible poor families. He released a pamphlet on local civic issues at the party office on Wednesday.

Criticism of government’s housing efforts

Reddy alleged that since the coalition government assumed power, no new house plots were allotted to the poor. He said the government was only launching previously constructed houses while failing to initiate fresh allocations.

Civic problems highlighted

He stated that the ruling authorities have neglected key urban issues, including damaged roads, clogged drainage canals, drinking water shortages and non-functioning street lights—problems he said were particularly severe in the city suburbs.

Plans for city-wide tours and protest

Reddy announced that RCP teams will conduct 12-day tours across the city to document civic issues and submit them to officials. He also said a mass protest, Chalo Corporation, will be organised on the 16th to demand solutions on land, housing, ration cards and pensions.
