Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: RSF State President DM Obulesu Yadav has appealed for the success of the upcoming round table meeting aimed at securing industrial, educational, and medical job opportunities in the Rayalaseema region. On Monday, Obulesu Yadav invited YSRCP State Spokesperson Satish Reddy, Congress Leader Tulasi Reddy, and Private Schools District President Ramana Reddy to participate.
Kadapa steel plant crucial for regional growth
He emphasized that the Kadapa steel plant is vital for the district’s industrial progress but alleged that its construction has been stalled by repeated political promises. Completion of the project, he said, would create significant employment opportunities for local youth, particularly those who studied in the region.
Concerns over PPP model in medical education
Obulesu Yadav expressed strong concern over the state government’s move to hand over newly proposed medical colleges in Rayalaseema to private entities through the PPP model. He warned that such a shift could make medical education unaffordable for many students and restrict access to affordable public healthcare in the region.
Kadapa–Bengaluru railway line delay criticized
He also criticized the prolonged delay in the Kadapa–Bengaluru railway line, a project jointly undertaken by the Central and State governments. According to him, government negligence has slowed progress. Completion of the line would integrate Kadapa with a major metropolitan hub, boosting transportation, connectivity, and economic development.
RSF leaders Mallikarjuna, Shiva, Dastagiri, and others took part in the program, reiterating their commitment to the development of Rayalaseema and urging political leaders and civil society to actively support the upcoming round table meeting.
