Invitation to Yashwant Ambedkar for statue inauguration

Gyana Sundari, National Leader of the Human Rights Protection Council of People, announced that Yashwant Ambedkar—grandson of Dr. B R Ambedkar and National President of the Republican Party of India (BA)—will be invited to inaugurate a new statue of Ambedkar in the Iruvaram ward of Chittoor. The announcement was made by Balu, Andhra Pradesh Vice President of the Human Rights Protection Council, on Saturday.

Local leaders push for unified Dalit front

The move to involve Ambedkar’s grandson follows a recent unveiling of another Ambedkar statue at Mahasamudram village, where Republican Party Andhra State President Dr. Dasari Chinnakeshavulu and Mala Employees Association leader T Ashok Babu voiced the need for Dalit unity under a common leadership. The idea has also received backing from other Dalit leaders, including Deva, Ponnuvelu, Raju, Gandhi, Madan, Jayakumar, and Bhaskar.

Balu emphasized Dr. Dasari Chinnakeshavulu’s unwavering support for the Dalit community, calling him a leader who consistently stands with the oppressed. “This is why the Republican Party’s Andhra leadership under Dr. Dasari deserves our full support,” he added, urging Dalit youth to embrace this leadership.
