Tirupati to host ‘Rayalaseema Malala Simhagarjana’ against SC Classification

Tirupati – Andhra Pradesh: In a strong show of opposition to the Supreme Court verdict and to raise key constitutional issues, including SC classification and the creamy layer policy, the Rayalaseema Malala Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called for an emotional and sensitive protest, titled ‘Hello Mala.. Chalo Tirupati’. The protest aims to highlight concerns regarding constitutional rights and social justice. A massive public meeting, ‘Rayalaseema Malala Simhagarjana/Mahagarjana’, is scheduled for Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Nehru Municipal High School Ground, Tirupati.

Pamphlet launch in support of protest

Ahead of the event, pamphlets were launched in solidarity at the statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar. The launch was led by Jakkam Venkata Ramana (JV), President of the Rayalaseema SC, ST Human Rights Welfare Forum, and Bandi Prasad, Founder President of Dr. B R Ambedkar Mission, Kadapa. They were joined by leaders from various Bahujana and Mahajana parties, social organizations, and civil society groups.

Key leaders inaugurate program

The program was formally inaugurated by J V Ramana, Founder National President of Mahajana Rajyam Party (MRP), along with Sangati Manohar Mahajan and Bandi Prasad. Also present were Y Ramesh, State Legal Advisor of RPI Party; Sheikh Amin Peeran, National Coordinator of the Constitutional Rights Protection Committee (CRPC) and High Court Advocate; Thota Ravikumar, State Secretary of RPI Party; Tallapalli Ramesh, Rayalaseema Legal Advisor and Advocate; Etty Kiran Kumar, District President; Devarapalli Sunil Kumar, District General Secretary; Ganganapalli Narasimhulu, State Secretary of the Labor Department; Madanapalli Rajendra Prasad, District Working President; Chodavaram Subbanarasayya, Annamaiya District In-charge; Teetla Chittibabu, Maidukuru In-charge; Bandi Naveen Kumar, Founder Youth Leader of Dr. B R Ambedkar Mission; Bandari Obulesu, Founder Member; Koppala Ramakrishna, Founder Member; Erradasari Sekhar, Founder Member; and Jakkam Rakesh, Youth Leader of Rayalaseema SC, ST Human Rights Welfare Forum.

Call for mass participation

The organizers have made an earnest appeal to the public to make the protest a grand success as part of their commitment to social responsibility. The upcoming ‘Malala Simhagarjana’ is expected to witness large-scale participation from across Rayalaseema, reinforcing the demand for justice and constitutional protection for marginalized communities.

The event is being closely watched as it brings together key voices from the region, demanding action on critical issues affecting SC communities.
