India’s Constitution lauded as world’s greatest at Kadapa conference

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: A United Democracy Conference highlights the enduring legacy and principles of the Indian Constitution, marking 75 years since its adoption. Leaders emphasize preserving its spirit and implementing its ideals effectively.
Constitution celebrated as the best in the world
Dr. Narreddy Tulasi Reddy, former Rajya Sabha Member and Chief Spokesperson of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, alongside Sangati Manohar, Founder and National President of the Mahajana Rajyam Party, declared the Indian Constitution as unparalleled globally. “There is no other constitution superior to ours,” they stated at the United Democracy Conference held at the Press Club in Kadapa on Tuesday.
The event, organized by the Committee for the Protection of Constitutional Rights under the chairmanship of National Coordinator Sangati Manohar, marked the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.
Vision of Ambedkar and spirit of Constitution
Speakers praised Dr. B R Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, for his monumental contributions. “The nation will never forget the sacrifices, struggles, and achievements of Dr. Ambedkar, a world-renowned intellectual,” said Sangati Manohar.
Leaders called for the spirit of the Constitution to be upheld. “The greatness of the Indian Constitution lies in its principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Its true strength depends on those who implement it,” emphasized Tulasi Reddy.
Quoting a timeless principle, he added, “No matter how good the Constitution is, if the implementers lack competence, it will lead to bad outcomes. Conversely, a flawed system can yield good results with capable implementers.”
A call for constitutional awareness
The conference underscored the importance of civic awareness and adherence to constitutional values. Sheikh Amin Peeran, a lawyer and Central Committee member, stressed that “every citizen must remain conscious of their constitutional rights and responsibilities.”
Other speakers, including TDP state leader Ameer Babu and SC, ST Welfare Forum state leader JV Ramana, highlighted the significance of governance aligned with constitutional objectives.

The conference brought together leaders and activists from diverse backgrounds, including: Ameer Babu, Prominent Muslim leader, TDP State Leader; Avvaru Mallikarjuna, National President, National Craftsmen United Forum Party; JV Ramana, State Leader, SC, ST Welfare Forum; Rajaratnam Isaac, Former District President, Peace Society; Sheikh Amin Peeran, Lawyer, Central Committee Member, Constitutional Rights Protection Committee; B Narayana Reddy, All-party Leader; CRV Prasad, District Convener, Rationalist Association.
Women leaders, including S Humera, Chandrakala Bai, and Sheikh Yasmin, Pastors’ Representative Mallem Bhaskar, Sangati Josheph and youth activists Padmakar Issac, Alluri Jojappa and V Subbarayudu, also contributed their voices to the discussions.
Commitment to protecting constitutional ideals
Leaders across parties and organizations pledged to uphold and protect the values enshrined in the Constitution. Representatives such as CPI City President N Venkatasiva, Dalit Vedika State President V Reddenna, and Lok Satta Movement leader Devara Srikrishna reinforced the necessity of collective effort in maintaining the Constitution’s sanctity.
The event concluded with a shared resolve to preserve the legacy of India’s Constitution, honouring its 75 years of empowering citizens and guiding governance.
