Dr Nidhi Meena takes charge as Kadapa Joint Collector

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Dr. Nidhi Meena formally assumed charge as the new Joint Collector of YSR Kadapa district on Saturday morning, taking charge in the Joint Collector’s chamber at the District Secretariat.
Background and administrative experience
An IAS officer of the 2019 batch from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, Dr. Nidhi Meena hails from Rajasthan and holds an MBBS degree from Delhi University. She has earlier served as Sub-Collector of Tenali, Director of Adult Education, and Joint Collector of NTR district. After a brief maternity break, she has now resumed administrative responsibilities in Kadapa.
Commitment to governance and public service
Speaking after assuming office, Dr. Meena said she would discharge all duties entrusted to her by the government with 100 per cent commitment. She stated that she would focus on resolving revenue-related issues and strengthening departmental functioning across the district.
Focus on welfare schemes and revenue issues
As per the directions of District Collector Dr. Sridhar Cherukuri, she said steps would be taken to ensure that government welfare schemes reach all eligible beneficiaries. Key focus areas will include revenue administration, resurvey work, land disputes, civil supplies, and land acquisition matters.
Coordination with public representatives
Dr. Meena assured that issues raised by public representatives at the field level would be promptly brought to the notice of the District Collector and higher authorities, and efforts would be made to resolve them effectively.
Warm welcome at Collectorate
Earlier, she was accorded a warm welcome by DRO Visweswara Naidu, Kadapa RDO John Irwin, Special Deputy Collector Venkatapathi, Collectorate Administrative Officer Vijay Kumar, and section supervisors, who escorted her to her chamber.
