Tributes paid to Chakali Ailamma; Leaders seek state recognition

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh : On the occasion of the 131st birth anniversary of Telangana armed struggle fighter Chakali Ailamma, leaders of various political parties and public organizations paid floral tributes at a program organized under the auspices of the National Craftsmen’s United Forum Party (JCIP) in Kadapa on Friday. The event was led by party National President Avvaru Mallikarjuna, coordinated by Rajaka United Forum district leaders Thippireddypalli Nageshwar Rao and Erikala Mallaiah.

Rally and petition to district authorities
Following the tribute at the party office, participants held a rally to the new Kadapa Collectorate, where leaders raised slogans and submitted a petition to Administrative Officer Vijay Kumar. The memorandum demanded that the State Government officially celebrate Chakali Ailamma’s birth anniversary every year and install a bronze statue of her in every district headquarters.
Call to recognize legacy
Speakers highlighted Ailamma’s contributions to the armed struggle, her role in fighting for land rights, the liberation of the oppressed classes, and the promotion of social ideals, urging the government to preserve her legacy through official recognition.
Participation of leaders and organizations
The program saw participation from a wide range of leaders and organizations, including Sangati Manohar Mahajan, Sheikh Amin Peera, JV Ramana, CRV Prasad, Karun Anjaneyulu, DM Obulesu Yadav, Kaipu Ramanjaneyulu, PV Ramana, Chandragiri Lambodara, YM Pratap Reddy, Devara Srikrishna, Bapanapalli Sambasivayya, Ramaji Emmanuel, Kadapa Ailamma (Badvel Savitri), Penubadi Madhu, and P Mallikarjuna. The event was attended by several activists, party workers, and admirers of Ailamma’s legacy, marking it as a significant occasion of collective remembrance.
