RPC pledges upper caste status, wealth for Dalits

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Rajahmundry – Andhra Pradesh: Meda Srinivas, Rashtriya Praja Congress FFounding President, promised to uplift Dalits and backward classes with upper caste status and wealth, vowing to end poverty and untouchability at a recent Andhra Pradesh meeting.

In a bold address at the Rashtriya Praja Congress (RPC) headquarters in Andhra Pradesh over the weekend, Meda Srinivas unveiled an ambitious vision to dismantle centuries of caste-based oppression. Promising upper caste status, wealth redistribution, and a society free of untouchability, Srinivas called on Dalits and backward classes to join a movement transcending politics and religion.

A radical promise: Redefining caste and wealth

Meda Srinivas electrified attendees with a pledge to rewrite history for marginalized communities. “We will provide upper caste status to Dalits and backward classes,” he declared, challenging the narrative that labels them inferior. Alongside this, he promised tangible wealth, asserting, “We will bring that wealth to you, we will permanently end untouchability and poverty.” His vision hinges on reversing what he calls a “conspiracy” by dominant castes, who, he claims, have exploited ST, SC, and BC categories to obscure the true historical richness of today’s oppressed groups.

Rewriting history: Uncovering true roots

Srinivas argued that those currently deemed untouchables and backward are the “real upper castes” of history, sidelined by systemic distortions. “We will uncover the true and great historical facts that have laid the foundation of the land,” he said, vowing to expose how wealth and status were usurped by others. He questioned the legitimacy of current upper castes, asking, “How can those who do not have Upanayana and are not eligible to wear the Yajnopaveeta become upper castes?” This historical reckoning, he insists, will restore self-respect lost for generations.

A call to action: Building a dignified future

Urging collective courage, Srinivas invited all to join the RPC’s noble cause. “Become a part of this movement, regardless of politics, caste, religion,” he appealed, promising, “You and your children have a good life and a bright future.” He envisions Andhra Pradesh as the launchpad for this transformation, stating, “We will bring the spirit of another freedom struggle movement throughout Andhra Pradesh.” The goal: an equal society where “there is no sound of untouchability and poverty,” achieved through “non-violent voter consciousness.”

*Challenging the status quo: A wealthy Andhra

Srinivas did not mince words about the opposition. “We challenge the corporate-dominated parties that dare to stop us,” he said, decrying their “frauds and plunder.” He reframed Andhra Pradesh’s identity, insisting, “Andhra is not a poor state but a very wealthy state. We will achieve and show it.” With wealth and self-respect as cornerstones, he urged the younger generation to reject past humiliations and secure a future where “the next generations will be strong.”

Presided over by RPC Senior Secular Kasa Raju, the gathering saw participation from activists like Simma Durga Rao, Dudde Suresh, and Pasupuleti Chellayamma, among others. Their presence underscored the party’s broad coalition, united in Srinivas’s vision of a “great society” dedicated to the nation—one free from the shackles of poverty and untouchability.
