Relay hunger strike continues for seventh day over driver’s suspension

Amalapuram – Andhra Pradesh: The relay hunger strike led by the National Mazdoor Union entered its seventh day, demanding the cancellation of driver BS Narayana’s suspension at the Amalapuram depot and the strict enforcement of the 1/2019 circular.
Union leaders call for intensified struggle
United Workers Union District Secretary V Ganapathi, who visited the protest camp, urged all unions in the depot to join the struggle. He emphasized the need for the National Mazdoor Union leadership to take the initiative and intensify the protest.
Workers demand action from Executive Director
Addressing a gate meeting at the depot’s garage gate, United Workers Union Depot Deputy Secretary Ranga Prasad stressed that Narayana’s suspension was an issue affecting all workers. He extended revolutionary congratulations to the protesting workers and urged the Executive Director of Zone 2 to intervene and resolve the matter.
Solidarity from union leadership
Depot President R Narayana Rao attended the protest and expressed solidarity with the workers on hunger strike, reinforcing calls for justice and fair treatment of employees.
