RPC demands state boycott of Ram Gopal Varma, urges PD Act implementation

Rajahmundry – Andhra Pradesh: Meda Srinivas, Founder President of the Rashtriya Praja Congress (RPC), has filed a formal complaint against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV), accusing him of anti-social activities and instigating unrest between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Srinivas demanded the invocation of the Preventive Detention (PD) Act and a state-wide boycott of RGV, citing threats to social security, family values, and religious harmony.
Meda Srinivas’ core allegations against RGV
Insulting Andhra aentiments: Meda Srinivas alleged that RGV, through his controversial videos featuring statements like “Oh Andhroda, we will take your throne,” has incited regional tensions between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Such remarks, Srinivas claimed, are deliberate attempts to provoke unrest among people.
Anti-hindu provocations: Srinivas accused RGV and his associates of tarnishing Hindu sacred texts like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as denigrating divine figures such as Sri Venkateswara Swamy and Vigneshwara. He also alleged that RGV’s activities are fueled by foreign interests aimed at destabilizing traditional Hindu values.
Corruption of social and family values: The RPC President criticized RGV for promoting content that disrupts family bonds and corrupts youth through provocative social media videos. He accused RGV and anchor Swapna of orchestrating a conspiracy to erode social harmony and religious sanctity in India.
Key demands from Meda Srinivas
PD Act against RGV: Srinivas demanded the immediate invocation of the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against RGV and his associates.
Boycott of RGV across Telugu states: He urged both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to enforce a state-wide boycott of RGV’s activities.
Strict legal action against collaborators: Srinivas called for legal action against anchor Swapna and other associates allegedly complicit in RGV’s anti-social agenda.
Protection of social security: Highlighting concerns over deteriorating social harmony, he appealed to the state governments to act swiftly to curb such disruptive activities.
RPC’s evidence and appeal
During the media briefing, Srinivas showcased video evidence of RGV’s statements and announced plans to submit further proof during the investigation. He warned that ignoring such behaviour would pose significant threats to social security and the traditional family system.
Complaint filed with authorities
Meda Srinivas addressed complaints to the officials: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, AP DGP Dwarakathirumala Rao, East Godavari District Collector P Prashanti, SP Narasimha Kishore and Rajahmundry 3rd Town Police Station SHO Varre Apparao.
The RPC meeting, held at the party’s headquarters, witnessed the participation of several members, including: Sarvasree Pendyala Kamaraju, DVR Murthy, Kothapalli Bhaskara Ram, Lanka Durga Prasad, Kandregula Kondala Rao, AVL Narasimha Rao, Barla Prasad, Simma Durga Rao, Dudde Suresh, MD Hussain, Dudde Trinad, Karumuri Yugandhar, Karumuri Sirisha, Gudla Sai Durga Prasad, Basa Sonia, Valli Srinivasa Rao, Akula Manikanth, Masa Appayamma, Valli Venkatesh, Doshi Nishant, Lanka Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthy, Vadapalli Jyotish, Kolli Satyanarayana, Bathena Shivannarayana, Barla Satish, Meka Ayyappa, Yerramsetty Surendra, Sakhile Sunny, Kanthi Pandu, Bathena Satyanarayana, Kovvur Srinivasa Reddy, Masa Appaamma, Kothapalli Vishal, Kothapalli Suryapet Kumari, Gudla Padmavati, Medicharla Srinivasa Rao, and Puram Srinivas.
Srinivas emphasized the need for immediate government intervention to address RGV’s alleged anti-social activities, protect cultural values, and maintain social harmony. The RPC vowed to continue its fight for justice and appealed to the public to support their demands.
