Union Health Secretary leads training of Safai Mitras under swachhata module

New Delhi: Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava chaired a significant training session for Safai Mitras on the ‘Swachhata hi Sewa’ module via the iGOT platform, as part of the Karmayogi Saptah and Special Campaign 4.0, highlighting the importance of cleanliness in building a progressive India.

The training, held at Nirman Bhawan, was part of the Karmayogi Saptah (National Learning Week), which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 19th October. Around 90 Safai Mitras participated in the event, while over 3,500 Safai Mitras were trained simultaneously across institutes under the Union Health Ministry nationwide.
Prime Minister’s Mission Karmayogi initiative
The National Learning Week (NLW), inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a pivotal part of the Mission Karmayogi initiative aimed at fostering continuous learning and skill enhancement among civil servants. This effort ensures that the competencies of civil servants align with the evolving needs and goals of the country.

During the session, Punya Salila Srivastava praised the dedication of Safai Mitras and reiterated their crucial role in maintaining cleanliness as a foundational step toward developing a prosperous India. The ‘Swachhata hi Sewa’ module underscores the ongoing efforts toward cleanliness and hygiene, which are key aspects of national development.
