Chetana’s social service is an inspiration to all: Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav

Proddatur – Andhra Pradesh: In an inspiring initiative aimed at women’s self-empowerment, Minister of Health Satya Kumar Yadav on Monday handed over sewing machines to 20 women trained under the leadership of the Vikasita Foundation, sponsored by ‘Chetana’ Samstha, at an event held in the Royal County Resort premises.

Chetana’s commitment to social service

During the event, Minister Satya Kumar Yadav lauded the social service efforts of Venigalla Ravikumar, Chairman of Chetana Samstha, describing them as exemplary. He emphasized that the work done by Chetana for women’s empowerment should serve as an inspiration to others, calling for more individuals to contribute to social service in their own capacities.

Empowering the underserved

Vikasita Foundation President Shulam Lakshmidevi expressed her gratitude, highlighting the joy of seeing members from the lowest strata of society rise to higher positions through the organization’s support. She noted, “Our happiness lies in empowering even a few individuals to stand on their own feet.”

Supporting self-reliance

Venigalla Ravikumar, Chairman of Chetana Samstha, expressed his commitment to helping individuals become self-reliant. “Though we may not be able to provide full support, we will help anyone stand on their feet,” he said, stressing the importance of employment programs and their broader efforts to assist those affected by natural calamities, including providing artificial limbs.

Highlighting the reach of their services, Lakshmidevi added, “It is a privilege to extend our services to people from faraway areas,” and emphasized that the efforts of Chetana for societal welfare will remain unforgettable.

A call for continued support

Shulam Lakshmidevi, from the Vikasita Foundation, urged for more extensive services from Chetana Samstha, recognizing Ravikumar’s dedication to women’s welfare and empowerment. Onteru Srinivasa Reddy and Siva Ramireddy from Samskruthi Swachhanda Samstha participated in the program.
