India showcases AVGC innovation at Berlinale, invites global collaboration for WAVES

Berlin: At the Berlin International Film Festival 2025, the Indian delegation promoted WAVES 2025, highlighting India’s blend of ancient storytelling and modern technology. Veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting underscored India’s AVGC-XR potential, inviting global producers to collaborate.

At Berlinale’s European Film Market, India’s outreach program for WAVES 2025 aimed to foster global partnerships in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR). Representatives from the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting highlighted India’s technological advancements and its role in shaping the future of digital storytelling.
