President Murmu plays with Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal !!!

Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu’s passion for sports was evident as she played badminton with the celebrated player, Saina Nehwal, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Badminton Court.

This gesture aligns with India’s growing stature as a badminton powerhouse, with Indian women athletes making significant strides on the global stage.

As part of the ‘Her Story – My Story’ lecture series, which showcases distinguished women Padma Awardees, Saina Nehwal, an iconic figure in Indian sports, honoured with the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards, will deliver a talk and engage with the audience at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on July 11.
