Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Alleging large-scale corruption in the recruitment of teachers in aided schools during the 2024–25 academic year, student, youth and political organisations demanded an inquiry and strict action against those responsible, including RJD, during a massive dharna at the Kadapa Collectorate on Monday.

Allegations of irregularities

Speakers alleged that several aided school posts in Kadapa district were filled by collecting nearly Rs 25 lakh per post, bypassing reservation norms and accepting fake certificates. They claimed that even unqualified candidates were appointed through an illegal “auction” process.

The protestors urged Education Minister Nara Lokesh to order a thorough probe, take action against RJD, and withdraw “illegal cases” filed against student leaders who exposed the issue.
