RCP warns of land struggles over delay in house plots

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Kadapa – Andhra Pradesh: Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) State Secretary Ravi Shankar Reddy on Tuesday accused the state government of delaying house plots for the poor and warned of intensified agitations if the issue remains unresolved.

Thousands protest at Corporation office

A large protest was organised at the Corporation office under the auspices of the RCP, with thousands of people participating. Addressing the gathering, Ravi Shankar Reddy said the demonstration reflected growing public anger over unmet welfare promises.

Allegations of neglect in welfare measures

He alleged that even after two years of the coalition government’s rule, no new house plots have been distributed, ration cards remain pending, and pensions for widows are delayed. He said unresolved local issues forced people to take to the streets.

Warning of escalated agitation

Stating that this was only the beginning, Ravi Shankar Reddy warned that if the government continues to ignore the demands, the RCP would organise land struggles and distribute plots to the poor in coordination with CPI-backed movements.
