46 Inspiring Science Projects Powerfully Celebrate National Science Day 2026 in Proddatur

Proddatur – Andhra Pradesh: Sri Sarojini High School observed National Science Day with enthusiasm and intellectual fervour on Saturday, as students showcased 46 innovative projects promoting scientific temper, eco-friendly solutions, and human welfare. Head Master T Siva Kumar said the school consistently nurtures curiosity, logical thinking, and practical application of knowledge among students, inspiring them to pursue excellence in science and beyond.

The school campus transformed into a vibrant exhibition arena as students confidently demonstrated working models and projects grounded in scientific methods. From environmental conservation models to practical innovations addressing local civic challenges, the projects reflected a strong emphasis on observation, experimentation, and logical reasoning.

Students eagerly explained the functioning and objectives of their models to parents, visitors, and faculty members, demonstrating clarity of understanding and communication skills.

“We encourage questioning minds”

Speaking on the occasion, Head Master T Siva Kumar stated that the school actively promotes a culture where students are encouraged to question, observe, experiment, and think both logically and practically.

“Our aim is not just academic excellence but nurturing responsible citizens who develop projects and working models that contribute to human welfare and remain nature-friendly,” he said.

He added that the teaching faculty continuously motivates students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, medicine, and research, while also encouraging those inclined towards the arts and humanities to integrate creativity with scientific awareness.

Focus on local issues and eco-friendly solutions

A key highlight of the exhibition was the focus on solving local environmental concerns. Students presented models addressing air pollution, water conservation, waste management, and sustainable community practices.

Teachers emphasized guiding students to design scientific solutions that are practical, eco-friendly, and beneficial to society, thereby promoting ecological balance and civic responsibility.

Participation beyond the school level

The Head Master noted that students from the school regularly participate in science exhibitions and working model competitions at various levels. In previous years, they competed at state-level events and earned recognition and prize money for their innovations.

Such participation, he said, builds confidence, research aptitude, and competitive spirit among students.

Theme 2026: “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat”

This year’s National Science Day theme — “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat” — was explained to students in detail. The theme highlights the significant contributions of women scientists and innovators in building a developed India, recognizing their efforts in research, technology, and STEM fields.

As a result, the school witnessed increased participation of girl students in scientific projects, reflecting a positive shift toward inclusivity and empowerment in science education.

Honouring the legacy of CV Raman

Students and teachers reiterated that National Science Day is celebrated across India on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by physicist CV Raman in 1928, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

A supervising teacher remarked that the primary objective of observing the day is to spread awareness about the importance of scientific theories and their practical applications in everyday life, while also showcasing achievements in the scientific field for human welfare.

Community participation and inspiration

Parents and community members visited the exhibition in large numbers, interacting with students and appreciating their innovative efforts. Many expressed pride in the young minds addressing real-world issues with thoughtful and practical solutions.

Students participating in the exhibition expressed gratitude to their teachers for consistent guidance and support over the years, stating that such encouragement enabled them to confidently present their ideas.

The event not only celebrated scientific discovery but also ignited curiosity, creativity, and confidence among budding innovators — reaffirming that nurturing questioning minds today lays the foundation for a progressive and scientifically empowered tomorrow.
