By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Telangana: Gavvala Srikanth, Telangana Movement JAC Chairman and MLC candidate for Karimnagar, Medak, Adilabad, and Nizamabad graduate constituencies, has pledged to raise his voice for job creation and employment rights if elected. After submitting his nomination papers to District Collector and Election Returning Officer Pamela Satpathi on Wednesday, he criticized successive governments for failing to address unemployment and called on graduates to support his candidacy.

Srikanth criticizes governments over unemployment crisis

Addressing a gathering, Srikanth accused both the central and state governments of neglecting the concerns of students, youth, and employees. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise of job creation had remained unfulfilled for over a decade. He further claimed that public sector enterprises were being privatized, leading to mass job losses and increased unemployment.

Demand for job security and industrial growth

Srikanth highlighted the struggles faced by contract and part-time employees, stating that many were uncertain about their job security in government offices, hospitals, and private institutions. He condemned the practice of charging hefty sums for temporary job notifications, which he claimed had left thousands of unemployed youth in financial distress.

He vowed to establish new industries and create employment opportunities, urging voters to support his vision for economic development.

Appeal for voter support and grassroots backing

Srikanth called upon SC, ST, BC, and minority communities, as well as employees and student organizations, to unite behind his candidacy. Several leaders from various caste associations, student groups, and advocacy organizations extended their support, emphasizing his commitment to fighting for workers, farmers, and marginalized communities.

Backing from regional and Dalit-bahujan parties

The Dalit Bahujan Party (DBP), Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBHA), and The Republican Party of India (RPI) have endorsed Srikanth’s campaign. Public organizations, intellectuals, and activists have also rallied behind him, opposing what they described as political exploitation by mainstream parties.

Srikanth concluded his speech by promising that if elected, he would work tirelessly to address unemployment, establish industries, and advocate for economic justice for the youth and marginalized communities.
