May Day celebrated across Amalapuram with flag hoisting ceremonies

Andhra Pradesh: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) and affiliated public organizations marked International Workers’ Day in Amalapuram and surrounding villages with flag hoisting events and tributes to workers’ struggles.
District-level celebrations led by CPM
In Amalapuram town, CPM District Convener Kaarem Venkateswara Rao hoisted the red flag at the party’s district office to inaugurate the May Day celebrations. The event highlighted the ongoing relevance of workers’ rights and unity.
Programs held at key locations
May Day observances extended to the CITU office, IML Depot, and High School Center, where workers and labor activists gathered to honor the historical labor movement and reaffirm their solidarity.
Similar celebrations took place across the mandal in villages including Vannechinthalapudi, Tandavapalli, Janipalli, Vemavaram, and Bandarulanka. Flags were hoisted and speeches delivered in recognition of workers’ contributions in these areas.
Leaders from CPM and associated organizations—including Bhimala Srinu, P Siva, Amulya, Daivakrupa, Parvathi, Varalakshmi, Raju, and Nagalakshmi—participated in the events, emphasizing the continued need for unity in the labour movement.
