By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu:Bureau Chief

Vijayawada: In a formal letter addressed to the Commissioner of Social Welfare, the Anti-Caste Discrimination Society (KVPS) has requested an extension of the application deadline for free DCS training under the Social and Tribal Welfare Departments. The current deadline is set for October 21, and the organization seeks an extension to ensure that all eligible candidates who have registered can avail themselves of the opportunity.

Renovation of Dr. B R Ambedkar Study Circles requested

O Nallappa, State President and Andra Malyadri, State General Secretary of KVPS, have called for the renovation of the Dr. B R Ambedkar Study Circles located in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati. These centers, which provide crucial training for Dalit and tribal candidates preparing for various competitive exams, are in need of infrastructure improvements, including skilled staff and accommodation facilities. KVPS emphasized that the Study Circles must be equipped with permanent staff to ensure quality training.

Appeal for meeting with Chief Minister and expansion of training facilities

KVPS also mentioned that although they have directly approached the Secretary and Chief Secretary of the CMO, they have yet to receive permission to meet with the Chief Minister. The letter highlights the importance of extending the application deadline and ensuring that the training initiative accommodates more applicants. The organization has also requested that experienced staff who have previously worked in the study centers be rehired to provide effective training for the candidates.

Congratulations on initiative, request for clarifications

KVPS expressed their gratitude for the state government’s initiative to launch online applications for the DSC training program. However, they have pointed out that the order does not specify the number of candidates who will be accepted. They urged the Social Welfare Department to clarify this and extend the deadline to give equal opportunity to all candidates seeking free training.
