Dhanbad:Yesterday, on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, which also coincided with the Foundation Day of Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT), a humanitarian service program was organized to support underprivileged communities.
To commemorate both the festival and the organization’s foundation day, INSIGHT distributed samosas, jalebis, and warm clothes to people in need. The initiative aimed to provide relief during the cold winter season and ensure that the spirit of Makar Sankranti—sharing, compassion, and togetherness—reached every section of society.
Makar Sankranti is widely regarded as a festival of new beginnings and unity. By choosing this day for its foundation celebrations, INSIGHT reaffirmed its commitment to social service and community welfare. The program focused on spreading warmth, dignity, and happiness among those who often remain on the margins of society.
The event was held in the presence of General Secretary Sarita Singh, Kalyan Mitra Sapna Sharma, and other members of the organization. During the program, the team interacted with beneficiaries, shared festival greetings, and emphasized the importance of collective responsibility toward the less fortunate.
The service initiative was successfully conducted with the support of Dr. L. K. Mruthunjaya, Christian Scholar and Public Intellectual from Hyderabad, Meda Srinivas, Founding President of Rashtriya Praja Congress from Rajahmundry, and Chief Advisory Director Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu.
