Field functionaries honoured as special guests at Republic Day 2025

New Delhi: The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, hosted over 200 field functionaries and their spouses as Special Guests at the Republic Day celebrations on Kartavya Path. This initiative recognized their pivotal role in empowering women and children and showcased the government’s commitment to inclusive leadership and national development.
Field functionaries recognized for contributions
The honourees included Anganwadi Workers, Child Development Project Officers, and District Programme Officers, who were selected for their dedication to advancing women’s leadership and child development. Their participation reflected the Ministry’s recognition of their grassroots efforts in shaping a Viksit Bharat.

Participation in Republic Day celebrations
On January 26, the Special Guests witnessed the Republic Day ceremony on Kartavya Path, a gesture that underscored the government’s appreciation for their invaluable service to the nation. Their presence at the event symbolized the importance of grassroots contributions to national progress.

The Special Guests, along with their spouses or companions, spent 24th to 27th January in New Delhi, engaging in a curated itinerary that highlighted India’s heritage and development. They visited the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, Akshardham Temple, Kartavya Path, and other historic sites, providing a holistic experience of the nation’s cultural and developmental milestones.
