CPI (ML) demands immediate implementation of Super Six poll promises

By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Andhra Pradesh: CPI (ML) New Democracy has strongly criticized the Andhra Pradesh alliance government for failing to fulfill its 2024 election promises, particularly the much-publicized Super Six schemes. At a divisional-level meeting in Yemmiganur on Sunday, the party warned of statewide protests unless the government takes immediate corrective action.

Alliance accused of betraying voters

At a key leaders’ meeting organized at the IFTU office in Ymmiganur, CPI (ML) New Democracy District Secretary K Nagaraju accused the alliance government of betraying public trust. He asserted that while the coalition came to power with grand claims, it has failed to deliver even a single scheme in full. “Claiming that ‘Nadu Babu’ is a certainty for the future, while failing to implement basic schemes, is nothing short of deception,” he said.

Unemployment promises remain unfulfilled

Nagaraju criticized the government’s inaction on youth employment. He said the promised unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 per month and the creation of 20 lakh job opportunities remain on paper. He demanded that the government release a white paper detailing how many jobs have actually been filled and the industries that contributed to employment generation.

Key welfare achemes still on hold

He pointed out that several major schemes promised under the Super Six plan—such as three free LPG cylinders annually per household, Rs 1,500 monthly support for women, and free bus travel for women—are yet to be implemented. He said the delay in fulfilling these promises reflects the government’s lack of seriousness towards public welfare.

Annadata scheme yet to reach farmers

Nagaraju condemned the alliance government for failing to deposit the promised Rs 20,000 annual financial support into farmers’ accounts under the Annadata scheme. He also demanded immediate distribution of subsidized seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural loans, especially in the wake of early rains affecting farmers’ planning and production.

Call for crackdown on fake seeds

The CPI (ML) leader urged the government to act against the growing menace of fake seeds. He demanded the formation of special teams under the Agriculture Department to identify and prosecute those responsible for selling counterfeit seeds to farmers, which he described as a major threat to agricultural livelihoods.

Warning of intensified public agitation

The party warned that failure to act on these demands would lead to large-scale public mobilization. Nagaraju said CPI (ML) New Democracy, along with IFTU, AIKMS, and other people’s organizations, would intensify agitation if the coalition government continues to ignore public demands.

The meeting was attended by CPI (ML) leaders M Sathyana and Balaraju, IFTU representatives Babu and Raju, and AIKMS leaders Pedda Reddy and Suresh, who echoed the concerns and pledged support for future protests.
