Dhanbad, Jharkhand – On 03 May 2025, Indian Socio Income and Grievance Helping Trust (INSIGHT) successfully organized a Child Care and Protection Programme in Dhanbad. The primary objective of the programme was to promote child safety, support education, and contribute to the overall development of children from vulnerable communities.
Child welfare continues to be a critical concern, especially for children belonging to economically weaker sections who often lack access to basic educational resources and a safe environment. Recognizing this gap, INSIGHT initiated this programme to provide both awareness and material support to children in need.
During the programme, children were educated about child protection, personal safety, and the importance of education. They were guided on how to identify unsafe situations and encouraged to seek help from trusted individuals and authorities whenever necessary.
A key highlight of the programme was the distribution of study materials. Children were provided with books, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential educational supplies, enabling them to continue their studies more effectively and with greater motivation.
In addition to educational support, food was also provided to all participating children, ensuring that they could comfortably take part in the programme without any difficulty. This also helped in increasing participation and engagement among the children.
The programme included interactive sessions, where children were encouraged to express their thoughts, share their concerns, and ask questions. They were also given guidance on hygiene, discipline, and positive behavior, which are essential for their personal growth and development.
The successful execution of the programme was made possible with the support of dedicated volunteers who assisted in coordination, material distribution, and overall management of the event.
