UTF urges SCERT to reduce 10th class English syllabus

Guntur – Andhra Pradesh: In a joint representation to SCERT Director MV Krishna Reddy on Monday, leaders of the United Teachers Federation (UTF) have requested a reduction in the 10th class English textbook syllabus, citing the need to ease academic pressure on students.

UTF leaders submitted their representation to SCERT Director MV Krishna Reddy, emphasizing the necessity of syllabus reduction in the 10th class English subject. They highlighted the increasing burden on students and stressed that a streamlined syllabus would help improve understanding and performance.

SCERT to examine request, promises timely support

Responding to the representation, Director MV Krishna Reddy assured the delegation that the demand for syllabus reduction would be thoroughly examined. He also pledged that in the upcoming academic year, all essential materials would be provided to teachers in advance to ensure smooth curriculum delivery.

Four-day training for teachers from June 5

To prepare educators for the changes in textbooks, the SCERT will conduct a four-day training session beginning June 5. The Director stated that this initiative is aimed at equipping teachers with updated knowledge and methodologies aligned with the revised curriculum.

The delegation included UTF State President N Venkateshwarlu, State Secretary S Kishore Kumar, and NTR District Honorary President Macha Srinivas, who emphasized the need for syllabus reduction and improved teacher preparedness.
