CPM demands immediate compensation for flood-affected crops !!!

Andhra Pradesh:- Dr. B R Ambedkar Konaseema District CPM team on Thursday, led by District Convener Kaarem Venkateswara Rao, toured the flood-ravaged villages of Mummidivaram Mandal, including Thane Lanka, Kunalanka and Gurajapulanka to assess the damage and demand urgent government intervention.
During their visit, the CPM team called on the government to provide Rs 50,000 per acre in compensation for severely damaged crops such as lady’s finger, banana, drumsticks, tomato, green chilies, and brinjal. They also urged the authorities to supply essential items and meals to the affected villagers and to extend immediate financial support of Rs 10,000 to each family impacted by the floods.
Recalling the promise made by former Chief Minister Jagan during his previous tenure, Kaarem highlighted the commitment to construct a revetment wall to protect the Lanka villages from erosion, a project initially slated for completion within three months in 2022. The CPM demanded the urgent initiation and completion of this critical infrastructure to prevent further devastation.
The visit saw active participation from CPM District Committee member G Durgaprasad, leaders Polamuri Srinivasa Rao, D Raghavulu, V Mohan Rao, V Rambabu, Laxman, and numerous villagers. The CPM party continues to press for immediate government action to mitigate the suffering of those affected by the floods and to ensure long-term solutions to prevent future incidents.
