All party round table backs movement to protect RDT in Anantapur

Anantapur – Andhra Pradesh: All major political parties, unions, and civil society groups, except the BJP which did not attend, extended unanimous support to a series of agitation programs to safeguard the Rural Development Trust (RDT) at an all-party round table in Anantapur on Sunday.
Consensus on movement activities
The meeting, chaired by RDT Protection Committee Convener Sake Hari at the Anantapur Press Club, approved a broad plan of protest activities. These include demonstrations at central offices, train roko, national highway blockades, district and state bandhs, and a Chalo Delhi program.
Timeline and coordination
It was resolved that all political parties should finalize any changes or additions to the proposed agitation by Monday. The final program of action is scheduled to begin on the 23rd of this month under the coordination of the all-party committee.
Broad participation
The meeting witnessed wide participation from across the political spectrum and civil society. Leaders in attendance included YCP PAC Member and former MLA Y Vishweshwar Reddy, former MP Talari Rangaiah, TDP District President Venkata Shivudu Yadav, Jana Sena’s Chandrashekhar, CPI’s Mallikarjuna, CPM’s Bala Rangaiah, Congress leaders Sake Shankar and Imam, BSP leader Gaddala Nagabhushanam, and CPI ML’s Vemana.
Support from unions and associations
Backing also came from representatives of MRPS, Backward Areas Development Forum, Reservation Porata Samiti, APSRTC Association, Jana Vignana Vedika, Mala Mahanadu, NGOs, lawyers’ associations, and other community groups. Leaders including BCR Das, KV Ramana, Dr. Gayanand, Ramachandra, Bhanuja, Anandaraju, Ramanjaneyulu, and others pledged their full support to the movement.
The meeting reaffirmed a collective commitment to protect RDT and ensure its continued service to the people.
