RPI delegation meets Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, seeks key assurances

Hyderabad: Republican Party of India (RPI) National President Bhim Rao Ambedkar, accompanied by senior leaders from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday as part of a courtesy call.

High level RPI delegation meets CM

The delegation included Telangana State General Secretary Gavvala Srikanth, Telangana and Andhra States In-charge Dr. Major Chandrakanth, State President Gali Vinod Kumar, State Treasurer K Murali Srinivas, and national leader Praveen Nakade. They were joined by Telangana State Labour and Mining Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy during the courtesy call.

Focus on elections and future programs

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Srikanth said RPI will contest the upcoming special elections across the country under the leadership of Bhim Rao Ambedkar. He added that detailed discussions with the CM included future programs, election strategies, and political issues.

Chief Minister’s assurance

Srikanth expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving the delegation time and attention. “The CM assured us that RPI leaders can approach him anytime in the future to present issues and suggestions,” he said.

Relief on heavy vehicles in Jannaram

A key issue raised was the ban on heavy vehicles in the Tiger Zone at Jannaram. Srikanth noted that petitions were submitted to the CM, who responded positively by lifting the ban and allowing operations to resume.

Appeal for farmer compensation

Another key demand raised was compensation for farmers whose crops were destroyed due to heavy rains. Srikanth noted that the CM was urged to fight with the central government to secure relief while also appealing for immediate state government support.
