Kadapa SP reviews security arrangements ahead of Gandikota festival

Jammalamadugu – Andhra Pradesh: Ahead of the three-day Gandikota festival, YSR Kadapa District Superintendent of Police Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath reviewed security preparations at the tourist destination and issued comprehensive instructions to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors.
Drone and CCTV surveillance
The SP announced that the entire Gandikota area will be placed under continuous drone camera surveillance during the festival scheduled for the 11, 12, and 13th of this month. Live monitoring will be carried out through CC cameras connected to the Command and Control Centre.
Round-the-clock police presence
He assured that 24/7 police services will be available for tourists. A dedicated police help desk will be established to address visitors’ grievances and provide immediate assistance.
Check posts and traffic management
Orders were issued to set up a check post with staff on duty round the clock. Cameras will be installed to record vehicle number plates, and vehicles without number plates will not be permitted. The SP also instructed officials to ensure smooth traffic flow and adequate parking arrangements.
Inspection of tourist facilities
The SP inspected key locations including the viewpoint, boating area, adventure zone, and parking areas, and reviewed the functioning of CCTV cameras on-site.

The inspection was attended by Rajampet Sub-Collector Bhavana, Jammalamadugu RDO Sai Sri, DSP K Venkateswara Rao, CI-level officers, tourism officials, and police personnel.
