RCP demands urgent infrastructure in Jagananna Colony, Rajampet
By Doruvu Paul Jagan Babu: Assistant Chief Editor

Andhra Pradesh: Rayalaseema Communist Party (RCP) leaders have criticized the lack of basic infrastructure in Jagananna Colony at Boynapalli, Rajampet, urging the current coalition government to act swiftly to provide essential civic amenities.
RCP State Committee visits Jagananna Colony
On Wednesday, a team from the Rayalaseema Communist Party, including state committee member Madagalam Prasad, visited Jagananna Colony in Boynapalli. The leaders inspected the living conditions and interacted with local residents.
Plots given, but no livable facilities
Speaking during the visit, Madagalam Prasad acknowledged that the previous government had distributed plots and constructed houses for the poor under the Jagananna housing scheme. However, he alleged that the basic infrastructure needed to make these colonies livable has been entirely neglected.
Demand for roads, drainage, water, and electricity
Prasad stressed the urgent need for proper roads, drainage systems, potable water pipelines, and electric street lighting in the colony. He warned that without these essentials, people are unwilling or unable to occupy the houses, and existing structures are deteriorating due to neglect.
In a sharp critique, Prasad said if the government finds it difficult to develop Jagananna Colony, it should consider renaming it to NTR Colony and take up development work immediately to ensure residents do not continue to suffer.
RCP calls for immediate government intervention
The RCP urged the ruling coalition to take accountability and ensure infrastructure development in all such colonies across the state. Leaders Vijay Kumar, Ramesh Babu, Subba Rao, and others participated in the inspection.
